Before deployment

Before starting the PV Supernode deployment, make sure the following items are completed.

Checklist

1. Inverter firmware update — all inverters are running the latest firmware version.
2. Device configuration — every device that PV Supernode communicates with (inverters, analyzer, weather station) is correctly configured for Modbus communication.
3. Device discovery — run inverter and peripheral discovery from the PV Supernode graphical interface (GUI), following the instructions in the appendix.
4. Inverter detection problems — if an inverter is not detected or its model is missing from the GUI list, run the communication test (instructions in the appendix).
5. Internet access — during deployment, PV Supernode must have internet access through the ETH port. If possible, provide permanent internet access so that updates and service work can be performed remotely.

Permanent internet access

A permanent connection lets the Advant team perform updates and diagnostics remotely — without an on-site visit.
